Diodes, Transistors and Thyristors
Diodes, transistors, and thyristors are all types of semiconductors devices. A diode is a two-terminal device that exists anywhere, p-type and n-type semiconductors are directly adjoined together. Transistors are three-terminal devices that can be made in bipolar conjunction or commonly as complementary metal-oxide -semiconductors. A thyristor is another three-terminal semiconductor that acts as a bi-stable switch.
